Jesus isn't looking for casual admirers – He's calling wholehearted disciples. Through three encounters in Luke 9, we see that Jesus is worthy of our complete trust, our plans and dreams, and our deepest affections because following Him isn't about what we gain from Him – it's about gaining Him. When Jesus becomes our greatest treasure, our lives are transformed, and sharing our story of how He has changed us becomes a natural response.
