Parents are familiar with the need to force their kids to go somewhere or to do something. After the battle of wills has come to an end, and you are now doing the thing, much of the time children don’t yet have the emotional maturity to manage their loss and disappointment well. Doing the right thing under protest steals all of the joy and meaning from it. Let’s grow up and choose to follow God quickly and with great joy!
