We are all well aware intellectually, and even emotionally, about the concepts of friends and enemies. One we feel warmth and connection to, and the other, we likely wouldn’t even feel a twinge of loss if they no longer existed. For followers of Jesus the scriptures challenge us to the core in this area. On a weekend we pause to remember those who paid the ultimate price fighting to defend our freedom, let's open ourselves to a deeper work of God.
