If you grew up around church, many traditions may impact who you think Jesus is, or even what a church should do.  If a church does something that you were fond of as a child it may seem heart-warming and right.  If a church does something that seems strange or violates what you experienced in the past, you may view it as lesser or wrong.  But many churches do things that are not rooted in the Bible, or that even include a significant amount of church history. Instead they adhere more to recent cultural phenomena.  Someone willing to die for you demands so much more than the continued following of traditions.  If anything would require a changed and sent life, this has to be it… doesn’t it?
