Current Protocols

We are living in a time of uncertain circumstances.  Things are constantly changing, so while this list represents our current focus (approximately 7 months in), we expect that our processes will continue to change as well.   *Updated... May 2021
  • We've tried to make things as touchless as possible.  Wherever we had enough volunteers, the Safety & Security Team, as well as Greeters, has been available to open/hold all doors.  We purchased new touchless toilets, faucets, and soap/hand sanitizer dispensers (we're continuing to work on the installation).
  • Coffee, Tea, Water, and Donut Holes have been available for FREE in the cafe, and our volunteers have served these refreshments.  As of June 2021, we have brought back soft drinks, donuts, and soft pretzels, available for $1 at the cafe.
  • While many people and businesses are beginning to return to pre-covid behavior, we are still asking people at New Hope to observe some moderate social distancing.
  • Please refrain from hugging... we want to do everything possible to keep from spreading the virus so we can continue to gather on Sunday mornings.
  • We are still asking all staff & volunteers to wear a mask whenever they are serving within close proximity to others.
  • All guests are welcome to choose for themselves if they wear a mask in the building.
  • The number of chairs in the auditorium have been increased by 50%, as well as returned to socially distanced rows.
  • We have lessened the amount of 'extra sanitation' being done between Gatherings.
  • Hopeland & Xtreme Kidz (children's ministry) are operating as usual.
  • BOTH the 9am & the 11am Gatherings continue to be steamed LIVE on Facebook & YouTube.  Tune in at either time to worship with us, or check them out anytime later.

*Please note that there are still some who are not comfortable returning to large gatherings, including many of our volunteers.  It requires a significant number of volunteers for our Sunday morning Gatherings to operate at the high level some of you are used to, so if something doesn't seem right, it could be because we are short handed.  If you're ready to return, we'd love for you to consider joining our volunteer team.  Let us know if you're interested!

What effect did COVID-19 have on us reconvening our Sunday Gatherings?

After 30 weeks of strictly online worship, we decided to resume our Sunday morning, in-person Gatherings on November 1st!  If you are not ready or able to attend, don't worry... we have continued live-streaming!  We understand that there are always going to be people on both sides of all the issues surrounding this pandemic.  We pray that you are willing to show grace to both the New Hope leadership, as well as each other, while we continue to slowly navigate these circumstances.  The messages below from Pastor Rob outlined our initial efforts back in November.
