Church Camp

Have you ever gone to church camp, or summer camp, or even just totally unplugged for a few days and gone out into God's beautiful creation?  It's not that one place is necessarily better than another, but a change of pace can be just the thing we need to break through our distractions and hear from God.  In this series we're going to slow things down a little, reflect some more, seek to experience God, and ask Him to rekindle our faith!

  • Keep fanning the flames

    AUGUST 27 & 28, 2016

Summer is winding down and campers are going home.  God may have spoken significantly to you during one or more weeks of this series, but now you are getting back into the swing of things as fairs and school activities are underway, and those seasonal experiences with Jesus are fading into memories.  One of the greatest enemies we all have to our spiritual lives is busyness.  Be sure to continually fan the fire of God into flame in your life!

  • Baptism... get out of the boat

    AUGUST 20 & 21, 2016

We spend way too much time thinking in our culture.  And by that I don't mean the good stuff like deep reflection and introspection, but rather a smug knowing that causes us to feel good about our state and status.  But what if God cares more about how we live than what we think?  What if He desires for us to go public for Him with our words AND our actions?  If you are tired of cheap talk maybe God is calling you to go deeper by getting out of the boat!

  • god is with me

    AUGUST 13 & 14, 2016

One of the most powerful things that can happen at church camp, and one of the most significant moments in a person's life, is when they transition from believing that God is real and that God is everywhere to knowing that He loves and is with them in a personal way.  Break free from the distractions of today and experience how God not only loves you, but is actually WITH YOU!

  • Baptism... a good thing to do

    august 6 & 7, 2016

Sometimes we think that baptism is magical.  Sometimes we believe it is no big deal.  Many people do it because their parents and families think they should, while others take this step because they believe it is a good thing for everyone to do at some point.  In this weekend's fireside chat, you'll get the full scoop on what baptism is and is not as you consider if this summer is the right time for you to take this step in your journey with Jesus.

  • god is everywhere

    JULY 30 & 31, 2016

Do you remember a time in your life coming to the realization that God was real and that He was everywhere?  Did you ever really believe that?  Do you still believe it today?  This can be invigorating as it changes not only how we think but how we live.  Maybe you have been living with some complicated circumstances or a heavy load and you just need to know that God is there...  right along side of you!

  • Going on an adventure

    JULY 23 & 24, 2016

Some camps have fun electives, team building, ropes courses, athletics and the arts.  It is amazing how learning new things and experiencing adventure may seem challenging or fun in the moment, but as we look back God teaches us incredible things through every experience if we allow Him to.  This is even true during some of the most challenging times in life.  Times that bring confusion and even pain.  But clinging to God and inviting Him on these adventures as well, can lead to some surprising and unexpected places!

  • i want to go home

    JULY 16 & 17, 2016

There are tons of times I would rather be at home!  I remember a couple instances while camping as a kid that I really wanted to go home.  Looking back now, had I called my parents to come get me, I would have missed out on so much - learning, friends, life and experiences.  Ultimately we all have a far better home that God invites us to, but while we're here there is so much for us to enjoy!

  • ulterior motives

    JULY 9 & 10, 2016

Have you ever felt guilty for doing the right thing (even a Godly thing) for the wrong reasons or because of what you could get from it?  Maybe you have not wanted to get too serious about God or even go to church because you don't want to be a hypocrite like everyone else.  God has something totally freeing to tell us when it comes to this kind of stuff.  In this message, discover how God is big enough to take care of things and how He can even redeem situations when we have ulterior motives.

  • Camp with us this summer

    July 2 & 3, 2016

Summer feels different!  If you have kids, they are out of school.  The weather is warmer, and we typically spend our free time differently.  Here in the Mohican area, hundreds of thousands of people visit our communities throughout these months... and many are here to camp!  On this holiday weekend, we invite you to come check out the kick-off to our summer series... if you are camping, come straight from the campsite because coming just as you are and experiencing Jesus is what this church camp series is all about!
